JANOME desktop robot
With high-precision repeatability and a rigid structure, the concept was to create an ideal production line robot from Janome, suitable for small series production of a wide range of products.
Advanced programmability and applications, together with the development environment, easily allow the creation of individual menu commands. The Desktop robot, which belongs to the JR family, is an excellent tool for performing operations such as feeding, screw tightening, soldering and PCB router. Programming the robot is simple and fast with the Janome interface.

Easy setup and quick start
The robot's interactive teaching procedure is easy to use. No complicated programming language is required. The main system software is connected to the machine via COM using a PC. Data can also be transferred to other machines via a PC.
Reliable accuracy
The robust aluminum alloy die-cast housing (both H- and L-shaped) has the stability required for high-precision repeatability.
Compact size & flexibility
The compact size not only saves space, but also allows it to be used in smaller workplaces. Its small footprint, light weight and built-in controller allow for flexible manufacturing systems.
Professional program environment
The robot includes numerous built-in routines, variables and COM commands, which allow for complex user programming.
In addition:
- Professional program connection.
- Increased data storage capacity.
- No memory card required.
New teaching device
The teaching device makes setup and adjustments easy and fast. By using a plastic housing, we have achieved a 50% weight saving. In addition, we have equipped the new teaching unit with a larger LCD display. With a resolution of 320×240, the display size is almost twice that of the previous model.

Connectivity and versatility
- Communicates with multiple external devices.
- Numerous unique types of I/O (PNP or NPN) devices are set as standard equipment. These can be configured to meet your requirements.
- Built-in simplified sequencer.
- No sequencer required.
- COM2 and COM3 extension.
- The interface can handle camera, height sensor and external equipment. (optional)
- Selectable Input/Output mode.
- “Sink” or “Source” (before delivery).
- Interoperability with other robots using JR-C Points.
- Using JR-C Points, only one robot language needs to be learned for JR2000N, JS SCARA and JSG Gantry robots.
Screw fastening
KX Servo drive (precision) for applications where precise fastening is required, can provide torque, speed, angle, direction of rotation and time data. Electric drive for standard applications where mechanical torque adjustment is required. Performs loose fastening check and gives error indication.

Dispensing
Simultaneous control of X, Y, Z, and R axes. Gluing, filling, insulation operations can be performed with various materials. Dispensing of instant adhesive, silicone and epoxy resin, and flux used for soldering.

Soldering
Simultaneous control of X, Y, Z, and R axes. Point, line or arc fo s. Quick replacement of soldering tip. Excellent for soldering electrical circuit boards, wires, QFP and piezo electric components.

CCD camera and height sensor
The CCD camera and height sensor are suitable for fast and accurate inspection, and enable accurate detection of pick and place operations, as well as feeding and soldering applications.

JANOME desktop robot
JANOME Scara robot
The Janome SCARA Robot is a new type of robot with high performance and low cost. The user-friendly interface allows for quick program modification without programming knowledge. Programming has been simplified by using direct teaching technology, remote teaching technology, and MDI input.

Features
The Janome SCARA Robot is a new type of robot with high performance and low cost. The user-friendly interface allows for quick program modification without programming knowledge. Programming is easier with the direct teaching technique, remote teaching technique and MDI input.
High performance, low cost
The most practical SCARA robot at the lowest possible price. This enables the automation of assembly lines.
Higher work efficiency
No need to use a complicated robot language. Special software applications on the memory card (e.g. screw tightening, feeding and soldering) enable easy and fast teaching.
Compact size
The controller is located inside the robot, ensuring the compactness of the equipment. Just connect it and the robot is ready to use. Thanks to its compact size, it can be used in small spaces.
Simplified sequence controller
A simplified sequence controller program or PLC, independent of the robot functions, has been built into the robot. No additional hardware is required, because the I/O uses external I/O ports located on the robot base body.

Features
JR C-Points software is an improved version of JR Points software. Various existing simple applications such as feeding, screw tightening, soldering are retained. In addition, a new software allows the user to manage the complex robot language, its variables, functions.
High-speed operations
Achieving top-level cycle times is possible with high-performance AC servo motors and the original Janome high-rigidity robot mechanism. This results in higher productivity.
High-rigidity arm
A deflection value of 0.04 mm under a load of 4 kg is ensured even when the arm is in the maximum extended state. This allows heavier workpieces and a wider range of applications.
Wide rectangular areas suitable for rack movements
Working areas of 210mm x 210mm b x b (right) and b’ x b’ (left) are guaranteed for the JS350 model.
R-axis allowable moment of inertia
The large allowable moment of inertia of the R-axis provides a wide range of tool applications.
User-friendly tool routing
The robot is equipped with fourteen signal lines and four air lines. This allows for a compact layout.
Faster setup
The JS family can memorize the current position of the arms while powering off. There is no need to reset the robot when restarting

Pick and place
Fast, accurate pick and place operations.
Transition from programming to customization
JR C-Points (trial name) software is an improved version of JR Points software, which creates an easy-to-use program input system for high-level applications.
“C-dots” means “customizable dots”, which as the name suggests, are dots that can be customized. We are proud to introduce JR C-dots as a new teaching system compared to the current BASIC-type robot language.
Simple teaching
The JS family inherits the simple dot teaching system of the JR family. The teaching tool can be used to make small changes. This allows for quick start-up and setup.
Multi-purpose teaching
The built-in robot language extends the versatility of the robot.
Custom teaching
The original Janome application software, such as the screw driver or the feeding software, can be programmed by the user. The user can set the original screw tightening or feeding conditions or create a unique user software.
Troubleshooting function
We have expanded the control with an “administration mode” in the current “teaching mode” and “running mode” fields. With the administration mode, you can simplify the menu and troubleshoot. The administration mode includes setting options such as “customization mode”, “administration setting mode”, “diagnosis mode” or “mechanical setting mode”. Using the “Administration Setting Mode”, you can set the “Starting Channel”, “Program Number Change (Valid/Invalid)” and “COM Setting (such as baud rate)”.
